Fort Custer in the World Wars Book

Coming Soon

Fort Custer in the World Wars  Available July 15!

I was thrilled to receive my author copies and hold the finished book in my hands for the first time. (Check out the video below) Even though I knew what pictures would be included and had written every word of the text, seeing it all come together in its final form was a special moment. I worked closely with Arcadia Publishing editor Ryan throughout the process, but nothing compares to the excitement of seeing the completed book.

So far, I’ve only shared it with a few people: my husband, my 95-year-old mother, and a few board members of the Fort Custer Historical Society. I’m hopeful the book will be well received, not only because of the stories it tells, but because all proceeds go directly to support the Fort Custer Historical Society Museum. FCHS does not have a steady source of funding. We rely on memberships and donations, so this book will help bring much-needed funds to our organization.

Fort Custer in the World Wars will be released on or before July 15 and is available for pre-order now. You can purchase it through Arcadia Publishing, your favorite local bookstore, or online retailers such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The book will also be available for purchase at the Fort Custer Historical Society Museum. The museum is open by appointment only because it is on an active military base. To schedule a visit, please email me at fortcusterlibraryandarchives@gmail.com or call or text 269-275-0462. I will add your name to the list for entrance to the fort. Please note that a military ID or a photo ID is required to enter.

If you are willing to pay for postage within the United States, I would be happy to send a copy directly to you. Books purchased through the Fort Custer Historical Society generate a much higher royalty for our organization. Every copy sold helps preserve the remarkable history of Fort Custer. Thank you for your support!
